Peppi Taalas

(Adj. Prof. Dr.) She works as the permanently appointed director of the Language Centre at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. She has extensive expertise in (language) learning technologies, new learning cultures and professional staff development programmes. Her current research interests are educational and organisational change processes both on policy and practice levels, including change in learning and teaching cultures, staff development and teacher roles and attitudes in technology-enhanced language learning settings. She has been involved in many national and international research and development projects in the area of knowledge society, teaching innovation and the future of education. She is currently working on re-designing higher education language teaching into a multimodal and multilingual competence building as part of the university degree.
